Where have I been?

This card was blatantly chosen as we all got through a lot of tea while I was there :)

Once again I'm back, after spending a few weeks interning. This time for a Financial Publishing company called Taxbrief's, who have just been bought by Centaur Media who specialise in Contract publishing. Everyone at Taxbrief's seemed very lovely and it felt great to be given some responsibility.

My role at Taxbrief's was to call clients asking them for feedback regarding their service and basically trying to sell them more newsletters/taxbrief's etc. Most people would find this boring, however I love a challenge and was happy chatting away to numerous accountants and independent financial advisors. On my last day, I received this lovely thank you card (above) from Taxbrief's:

I was also lucky enough to be given a £25 Oliver Bonas voucher, so after work I popped along a bought myself a lovely face mask and will shortly be purchasing my own teapot and also a "Gourmet Food for a Fiver" recipe book I saw while in-store.

Overall I had a lovely time at Taxbrief's, they've asked me to go back and are going to contact me when something comes up. This proves that internships are worth doing, as it really is beneficial for not only your CV but also for potential employers as they get to see your potential before committing.

So, now I have a week off until I start my internship at Hello Magazine. I will update shortly regarding my tips on the best ways to secure internships, I am currently on my fifth, which was the amount I aimed for at the beginning of my degree. I have one more scheduled at the Stylist magazine before I graduate next summer, which would take it up to 6 internships in total, not too bad! Until then, bye for now and I hope everyone's been enjoying the weather or at least enjoying their work!
