Kelis - Flesh Tone Album Review

Following single release “Acapella” Kelis is back with her fifth album, reminiscent of 2003 album release “Tasty” and her hit summer tune “Milkshake.” If you are a fan of the Neptunes era, Kelis combines her colourful vocals with symphonic sounds created by the producers Will I.A.M and David Guetta, they will have you bopping along all the way to the end of the album.

“22nd Century” introduces us to a house inspired version of the future. The hook in “4th July (fireworks)” is one of the uplifting catchy tracks on the album and Kelis proves that she has taken both her music and personal life to a whole new level since her last album “Kelis was here” she has dedicated one of the album track’s to her new born son “Song for the baby”. This album looks promising with its back, to back melodic uplifting summer hits.
