The weather has been so lovely the last week or so, it looks to stay just as warm over this weekend, whatever your plans just remember to pop one of these cute fans into your bag.
As you can see my fan above, I was very lucky to be given this for my birthday from a close friend, before going on holiday to Cyprus. Acessorize have a beautiful range in store this season, depending on tastes.
This weekend I will be commuting to Brighton later to work at Oasis and meeting up with a few friends over the weekend, hoping to get some beach time, then I am going to the pre-screening of Eclipse on Sunday night. What's your plans for the weekend?
Ok, so I am sooo late with this one, but to be fair I have only just stopped and finally had the time to upload the photos. Me and a few of my friends went to see the premier of Sex and the City 2 in Brighton at the Duke of York Cinema.
It was a great night as we had cosmopolitan's before hand in the bar and then more after. It turned in to quite a night for me and my friends, we all had a lot of fun. I have agreed to go and see it again with my London friends, I wouldn't give it a great review as it was a poor attempt, but is worth seeing, or seeing again so it seems!
Since I've been back home in Brighton over the last three weeks over my Easter break, it really feels like I have been out of touch with most things being away from central London. This is amplified by the fact that I can not easily get my hands on a copy of the free weekly Fashion, Travel and Beauty magazine the Stylist.
For myself the Stylist is number one on my magazine pile, I adore the editorial mix and the fact that despite being free, they produce original, well-written, thought provoking content and stunning visuals which is incredibly refreshing in a industry where a lot of the magazines are similar. In general magazine's are my passion so much so that I chose to study them for my degree, however I have become a particularly loyal fan of the Stylist.
Today, is the first day I've had a hard copy for weeks, which I managed to track down while shopping in French Connection. I prefer to get my hands on printed paper version of the magazine as it's pretty and mine to keep! The Stylist launched in October last year and is given out free each week normally on a Tuesday in Birmingham, Leeds, Brighton and Glasgow, it is available each week to read online here .
After speaking to Brightonianfriend who informed me they hand copies out at Brighton station. I will be searching once again tomorrow hopefully for the last time for a while, before going back to London at the end of this week where it shouldn't be as hard to find a copy!
Before the end of last term at Uni one of our guest lectures was the Editor Lisa Smosarski, who seemed a friendly, knowledgeable person and she had previously also studied at the London College of Communication which gives hope to those who graduate from LCC that we may get exactly where we want to be with a lot of persistence, motivation and dedication.
While I've had an amazing time in Brighton over Easter and have had the chance to see my friends and family loads and even go to the beach. Now it is time for me to get back to business!
Ok, so the day finally happened where I was able to make my greatest dream happen by purchasing my very own pair of Jimmy Choo Shoes! This meant getting up at the break of dawn; obviously I had this particular Saturday booked of work therefore I was waking up at my usual time of Saturday morning 7a.m.
I ended up getting to H&M for 8 o’clock to be greeted by a fairly but manageable queue to my surprise. We were in the blue group which meant that we had to wait until it was organised groups time to be allowed into the cornered of Jimmy Choo accessory area. We waited for an hour for the main store to open, while making friends in the queue with some pretty nice people considering the circumstances, we all said it was blatantly because we all are from Brighton, as we were all so friendly.
Eventually they let us in at 9 am, as I entered the building it looked as if a massive windstorm had swept over the entire front rails of the shop as they were literally empty. Manikins had been stripped bare.
Jimmy Choo Shoes are not just your average pair of everyday shoes. For Many women including myself they represent freedom, success and choice despite the price tag. Jimmy Choo attended University of the Arts London from then has won many awards for the quality and craftsmanship of his shoes, as a result has claimed world wide recognition & surged to fame.
We were fully aware of this, before we had our turn in store at the till we saw a woman at the counter with five bags full of a selection of Jimmy Choo goodies, we were not impressed as we still hadn’t had our turn in the accessories section and she seemed to be buying the entire line. If you’re going to buy five pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes for H&M then please just buy the real ones as you can clearly afford them.
After a much discussed, precise throughout plan my accomplice Jessica and I had decided that when our time came she would head straight for the flats and I for the heels. Both of us picking up one in each of our sizes, upon first glance, congregating in the middle to obtain some statement Jewels.
Our plan was successful despite the bulk purchasing, both and most of us in our group got what we wanted which was very lucky as the previous groups left the cornered of area looking somewhat bear.
I managed to get my hands on the black, studded cadged heels and the statement drop studded and embellished earrings. I have been in love with these shoes for months since I saw them featured in a Harpers Bazar work wear special. Despite not actually being able to wear heels they were worth their money and the earrings are also stunning.
Once I got my purchases home I realised that my new Jimmy Choo shoes are actually almost double the height of another to die for/die in pair of heels that I can’t walk in and the earrings weigh so much that you not doubt will damage the tissue in your ears by wearing but who said fashion was ever practical.
I had a fun morning with Jess who also bought some amazing flat studded shoes, met some friendly Jimmy Choo fans and indulged myself. I don’t think it would have been half as much fun if it was any other way.
Ok, so I havn't Blogged for quite a while, since then I have been on Holiday, moved to Brighton and started working for Oasis amoung a million other things. Since begining my degree I've been applying for jobs but with the poor economy at the moment I had no luck for a whole year (no joke)!
I am sooo happy finally to have a new job and one that I can be very happy in! I love Oasis! It definately is my faviourt shop despite being above my budget but now with discounts I can actually aford to look good this coming season as well as pay my credit cards, what more could I ask for?
You'll find me at the cinema this week watch Coco before Channel a new film which is all about the life of Coco Chanel and sunning myself, fingers crossed!!!
