Me! I am finally back after my birthday and a well deserved holiday to Cyprus with the bf. I had a great time visiting my family, relaxing and enjoying the culture. Cyprus is a lovely island to visit, beaches are heavenly and the waters are clear. It's situated South of Turkey and West of Syria in the Mediterranean Sea.
Take me back there, Now!!!
I visited the Greek part and stayed in Ayia Napa (Shhh!) and the village where my family live Xylofagou. Without doubt I would say that the Greek culture is laid back and relaxed, unlike England.
So nice!!
So nice!!
While away I discovered a love for Frappe's which is a traditional Greek way to drink coffee! Made up of, coffee, water, sugar, milk, chocolate (my version) and ice blended together. I think my trip to Cyprus definitely has benefited me in the sense now that when I have deadline's I no longer have to rely on Redbull for my buzz.
Yum
I was lucky to get a great deal on my holiday as flights were £130 (Monarch) and accommodation £40 (Takkos Hotel Apartments) for 8 days from 17th May-24th May. I would recommend this time of year as it's cheap, for all the students, and the weathers not too bad 25degrees.
Ayia Napa's Ancient 16th Century Monastery
"Ayia" means "Holy" in Greek which means Ayia Napa's Monastery is one of the most historically visited sites beside it's world famous bars and clubs.
I had such a great time that I plan to go and live there next summer after I graduate until I hopefully embark on my first proper job working for a magazine/publishing house!

P.S. If you happen to be visiting Cyprus anytime soon, check out the free Cyprus Airport magazine which you can pick up from any airport in the country. It features all of Cyprus chichest bars, boutiques, hot spots!
