I thought before the month ends I better not forget to let you all know it's officially been a whole year since my first ever post :)
I just want to say thank you to my loyal readers and let you all know that recently I helped out another fellow student Kate Jachec, studying Journalism at LCC with a project in which I was interviewed on film about my blog.
I would love to share the video with you but I can't even bring myself to even think about it myself, let's just say I am happy to post some of the questions ask and now feature below and within my About section.
For now, have a great Easter! I will be busy working on the final load of my 2nd year Uni work ready for term start until then enjoy lots of chocolate and some yummy cakes, like the cutest one's above!
Interview by Kate Jachec:
Why and when did You make your own blog?
I decided to start my own in March 2009 as around that time I was getting told randomly by lots of different people that I should become a millionaire motivational life guru, life coach and counselor, I also thought blogging would be a great way to get my writing out there and hopefully might demonstrate to potential employers that I can write as I'm not studying a journalism course.
What was your inspirations?
My inspiration were mainly the people around me and also just my general interest in writing, my love for lifestyle magazines and new technology.
What inspires You to still be writing?
Passion, I love what I write about as I don't have anyone dictating to me what I can write, which means freedom basically! I obviously try to tailor my blog so that it can be read by a large group including friends, family, randoms and employers.
What is your blog about? what do you write about?
My blog is basically about me, my interests and my life! Most writers, more or less end up writing about themselves to some degree, this is pure indulgence, for me! Topics I have written about include fashion, art, travel, music, Paris, films, internships, things I'm up to/events, health, magazines and publishing.
What are your favourite celebrities? designers?
I am not a big fan of celebs in general and the whole celebrity culture. Celebs I do like are Lily Allen as she's quite outspoken and is down to earth, does Robbert Pattinson count? lol. In terms of designers I like Mattew Williamson and bright colours he uses in his work and bold prints.
Do you follow the trends?
I work part-time for Oasis which is a women's high street fashion shop so its my job to keep up with all the trends so I can sell outfits to customers! I read Harper's Bazar which is particularly good at dissecting catwalk shows into wearable trends. I am more of a style girl however am normally I am excited to see what's new of which can be good or bad.
What are you interested in?
My interests generally are Magazines, I am obsessed with them and find it really hard to throw any out when there's piles. My other interests include music, fashion, healthy living, art, travelling and cultures generally.
What are your plans for future?
Ideally after I graduate I would like to get a job working for a lifestyle magazine in either the editorial or sales department, continue my blog, travel around America, Europe and South east Asia, pay of my student debt, have fun and enjoy life.
